The Brand Safety Alliance (BSA) has expanded its GlobalBlock service once again, adding 61 new domain extensions to the domain blocking platform.
The new additions bring GlobalBlock to 841 included extensions, and for the first time achieves coverage of more than 60% of the world’s top-level domains (TLDs). Looking specifically at gTLDs, GlobalBlock now provides protection over 75% of the world’s TLDs.
Included in this latest batch of extensions to join GlobalBlock include Mauritius’ .mu ccTLD, which is relaunching this year as an international extension for the music industry. With this growing market and greater commercial focus, the ability to instantly protect brand labels in the .mu domain will be even more important for global brands.
This marks the second coverage expansion to GlobalBlock this year, following the March batch that increased protection by 70 extensions, including the world’s two largest ccTLDs, China’s .cn and Germany’s .de.
As always, existing GlobalBlock customers instantly receive coverage in the new extensions at no additional cost during their current term. With further expansions planned in 2026, GlobalBlock remains the world’s largest domain blocking service and continues to grow in value for brand owners and IP professionals.
