Market Briefing: GlobalBlock Further Expands Coverage - Now Protecting Brands in More Than 60% of World’s Domain Extensions

The Brand Safety Alliance (BSA) has expanded its GlobalBlock service once again, adding 61 new domain extensions to the domain blocking platform. The new additions bring GlobalBlock to 841 included extensions, and for the first time achieves coverage of more than 60% of the world’s top-level domains (TLDs). Looking specifically at gTLDs, GlobalBlock now provides protection over 75% of the world’s TLDs.

Following the addition of China’s .cn and Germany’s .de ccTLDs along with dozens of other new extensions, GlobalBlock’s coverage grew to 780 extensions and the BSA team connected with hundreds of brands around the world to explain what this means for online brand protection.
