BSA Team to Attend ICANN Contracted Parties Summit

The Brand Safety Alliance (BSA) will be attending the ICANN Contracted Parties Summit in Manchester, United Kingdom, from April 27–29.

For the BSA, the Summit represents a valuable opportunity to connect directly with registry and registrar partners and continue advancing collaborative approaches to brand protection.

The BSA's Ben Anderson and Caspar Veltheim will attend to discuss GlobalBlock’s growth and expanding registry partnerships as the service approaches its second anniversary.

With the largest group of new extensions to date joining the platform in March, GlobalBlock's network of registry and service provider partners continues to expand. We look forward to meeting with prospective partners interested in joining GlobalBlock and supporting brand protection at scale.

The Contracted Parties Summit brings together key stakeholders responsible for operating and distributing domain names, making it an important forum for discussing practical, industry-led solutions to brand abuse.

For registries and registrars, the Summit provides an opportunity to explore how GlobalBlock can support stronger brand relationships, enhance service offerings, and contribute to a more secure namespace.

If you’re attending the Summit in Manchester and would like to connect with the BSA team, please reach out to us at hello@brandsafetyalliance.co to arrange a time.

A lot has changed across the registry landscape since my last trip to the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain (APTLD) conference over two years ago in Danang, Vietnam. From the increasing role that AI plays in our businesses through to the ever-expanding abuse conundrum, the threat landscape has shifted in ways that should concern every registry operator, regardless of size and region. I'm excited to reconnect with the APTLD community at two upcoming events. First, I'll be joining APTLD members for a webinar on 26 August, followed by a session at APTLD90 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia this September, where I'll be sharing how the Brand Safety Alliance and GlobalBlock are helping registries and brands tackle online abuse through collaborative global protection programs.

As one of the largest and most strategically significant country code domains, .CN offers an important view into how registries are balancing growth, governance and brand safety at scale. We’re pleased to present this partner article from CNNIC, the registry behind China’s .CN country code top-level domain, about the growing sophistication of abuse, the increasing need for cross-border cooperation, and the rising expectation from global brands for proactive protective mechanisms within complex national markets.
