The GlobalBlock team is excited to connect with senior leaders and advisors in intellectual property at the upcoming INTA Leadership Meeting.
The meeting, which brings together INTA Board, committee and project team members, is a fantastic opportunity to continue our ongoing conversation with the IP community about the role of domain blocking, and to learn how GlobalBlock can better serve this industry.
With the recent announcement that the World Intellectual Property Organization and Internet Commerce Association will conduct a review of the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), the connection between domain names and IP protection will be top-of-mind for many in the industry.
The review aims to “maintain the UDRP as an efficient and predictable out-of-court dispute resolution mechanism” and to only make recommendations “borne out of a demonstrated compelling need for a change.” However, many brand management professionals are still seeking opportunities to be more proactive in their reputation management strategy and less reliant on reactive disputes.
The Brand Safety Alliance’s Jason Loyer and Leona Chen-Birkner will attend the INTA meeting in New Orleans, where they will also host a booth to facilitate meetings and provide information about GlobalBlock.
Jason and Leona look forward to talking with prominent in-house and external counsel representatives during the meeting, which runs from November 12—15, 2024.
