Representatives of ccTLD Registries across the Asia-Pacific region will travel to Vietnam this month for APTLD’s next Members Meeting.

Held in the beautiful city of Da Nang from 17-20 September, the meeting provides a forum to discuss policy matters affecting domain name organizations and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.

The Brand Safety Alliance’s (BSA) Tony Kirsch and Leona Chen-Birkner will attend the meeting and look forward to connecting with the APAC domain name community.

ccTLDs play a significant role in protecting the interests of brand owners around the world, and this is reflective across the included extensions within GlobalBlock currently.

With ccTLDs such as Indonesia’s .id, Sri Lanka’s .lk, Myanmar’s .mm and Papua New Guinea’s .pg already included in the ever growing GlobalBlock service, these namespaces are already seeing the benefits of domain blocking for proactive abuse reduction and building trust and positive community sentiment.

The BSA team will meet with current GlobalBlock participants and welcome the chance to discuss GlobalBlock’s benefits with Registries who are yet to join.

On Tuesday 17 September at 3pm, Tony will also deliver a presentation on Domain Blocking: How it works and why it’s a unique opportunity for ccTLDs.
