The Brand Safety Alliance’s (BSA) Caspar Veltheim will join representatives of European ccTLD Registries at the next CENTR members meeting in Belgium.
CENTR’s members collectively represent millions of registered domains, and the organization works to facilitate collaboration and promote best practice among ccTLD operators in Europe.
The next meeting, to be held in Brussels on 20 November 2024, provides an opportunity for members to hear from industry experts, discuss policy news and connect with colleagues and partners.
Caspar is looking forward to meeting with the European ccTLD community and discussing GlobalBlock’s potential to support a safer internet for brands and consumers.
He will also deliver a presentation on Opportunities for ccTLDs in proactive brand protection, outlining the benefits of GlobalBlock for Registries looking to proactively prevent abuse and boost the integrity of their namespaces.
“The protection of intellectual property is a hot topic across Europe at present, and many organizations are looking for opportunities to proactively improve their defensive measures and promote safety and brand protection,” said Caspar.
“I’m excited to attend the CENTR meeting to connect with ccTLD operators and share the role GlobalBlock can play in this process.”
With new extensions continuing to be added to GlobalBlock’s coverage, there are still opportunities for ccTLD Registries to join the community and help reduce trademark abuse in their namespaces.
