Connecting with the IP community at INTA

This month the GlobalBlock team will be attending the International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.

INTA is a leading association representing brand owners and IP and trademark professionals and providing opportunities for education and networking, as well as being “a trusted and influential advocate for the economic and social value of brands.”

The Annual Meeting will bring together nearly 10,000 brand protection and IP professionals from around the world to discuss best practice and learn from some of the leading voices in the industry.

At this year’s meeting, GlobalBlock is pleased to be the Platinum sponsor of the Innovation Marketplace Stage.

In addition to being a major sponsor, on Tuesday, May 21, the Brand Safety Alliance’s Tony Kirsch will moderate a panel discussion on ‘Domain Blocking: How it Works and Why You Should Be Using It’ where experts from across the domain industry will explain the role domain names play in brand protection and how domain blocking products like GlobalBlock have evolved to provide greater protection, flexibility and peace of mind. This distinguished panel includes the following speakers:

This discussion takes place as part of the Business track of sessions, designed to connect IP and non-IP business leaders “who share insights into the key success drivers within corporations or law firms.”

A lot has changed across the registry landscape since my last trip to the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain (APTLD) conference over two years ago in Danang, Vietnam. From the increasing role that AI plays in our businesses through to the ever-expanding abuse conundrum, the threat landscape has shifted in ways that should concern every registry operator, regardless of size and region. I'm excited to reconnect with the APTLD community at two upcoming events. First, I'll be joining APTLD members for a webinar on 26 August, followed by a session at APTLD90 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia this September, where I'll be sharing how the Brand Safety Alliance and GlobalBlock are helping registries and brands tackle online abuse through collaborative global protection programs.
